Saudi Arabia is among the foremost countries in the world and one of the leaders of the entire Middle East. It has among the largest deposits of crude oil in the world. This product acts as the major revenue generator & foreign exchange earner for the country. Besides petroleum, Saudi Arabia is also renowned as the center of Islam, the venue of the Haj, beautiful deserts, palaces, mosques, etc. Saudi Arabia is also an important commercial location, with a substantial presence of MNCs and involvement in various types of businesses.
A lot of people visit Saudi Arabia from both within the Gulf countries as well as other nations. The purpose of the visit can be business, travel, religious, or educational. Certain requirements for getting the visa issued are applicable for every nationality while certain others apply to only certain countries. For E.g. residents of gulf countries don’t need a visa to enter Saudi Arabia unless they are going for Hajj.
Saudi Arabia has now, in keeping with the times, introduced the concept of E-visa. This has made the job of visa issuance easier and faster. As of now, residents of 49 countries are eligible to apply for E-visa.
